Fall is the time for PREPARATION. With tryouts in October and the winter season launching immediately after, September has become an important time for getting the edge needed to make the team you strive for.

For three weeks in September athletes are pushed beyond their comfort zone in the Fall Speed Academy. On-ice and dryland training prepare players by focusing on an overspeed style of training that forces proper technique and repetition at an increase speed which accelerates the benefit and allows for the greatest benefit.

Other training opportunities begin in the fall and continue through the school year. Breakfast Club Stickhandling, Optimum Defense, Puck Skills and Shooting/Puck Protection Small Groups meet before or after school 1 day/week and focus on improvement of hand skills that are the key to standing apart from the competition at higher levels in the sport. Invicta Hockey Institute meets 4 days/week. IHI is dedicated to individual skill development and allows athletes the training found in hockey schools without requiring them to leave their schools and communities.

Squirts – 5:40 to 6:50pm

PeeWees – 7:00 to 8:10pm

Cost: $235/athlete

Three weeks of over-speed training devoted to increasing speed, quickness and agility.  Speed Academy is run at an extremely high level of intensity pushing the skater well beyond their comfort zone.   

The goal is to make the player a stronger competitor, but the additional benefit is increased confidence in their abilities.

Dates: August 26, 27 28, 29, September 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12

A $265 deposit is due with registration. Balance is due on August 1st.
