Summer Training

During the winter hockey season individual development is often compromised or made a lower priority to teach team systems or to just get the next win. The reason so much of each team's practice time is spent on systems is because the athletes aren't able to execute properly due to the fact that they do not have the proper skills.

With proper skills your skater can play in any system. Therefore, a player must develop a year-long calendar and emphasize individual growth in the off-season to continue improvement. Attention to skill development has the added benefit of confidence building and increasing the fun that the athlete enjoys while playing the greatest game on ice.
